OPERATIONS AND MANAGEMENT STUDIES

FGS will review and analyze your present golf course operation with an eye to improving your bottom line. This review can be tailored to meet your most immediate needs and can include: accounting procedures and controls; personnel efficiency, levels and compensation; physical condition of the golf course and golf course support facilities; golf course maintenance practices, budget and historical financial performance. We can appraise the value of golf in your market and identify opportunities for your facility to effectively enhance revenues.

FEASIBILITY & MARKET STUDIES

FGS will visit your community, work with you to develop a set of objectives, study the demographics of the area, relate the demographics to golfer participation characteristics, appraise the competition and determine the local golf market. We will develop forecasts for golf course construction costs, maintenance and operational costs, revenue estimates and prepare a proforma on the proposed golf course. Based on the data developed, we will make a recommendation regarding the viability of developing a golf course that accomplishes the earlier determined objectives. FGS will inspect potential golf course sites and appraise their potential for development as a golf course. We will prepare and submit a written report supporting our finding and addressing the key criteria for success.

GOLF COURSE DESIGN

FGS ascribes to the philosophy that the land should always dictate the golf course. FGS goes to extraordinary ends to help you make your statement or achieve your golf course objective, while still utilizing the land as nature created it. FGS will visit your site, study aerial photographs and topographic survey maps, meet with your engineers and planners if appropriate, and prepare various preliminary routing plans for review. FGS will work with you to select the most favorable routing plan, we will walk the site reviewing the routing, and prepare a refined drawing suitable for display. The location of all greens, tees, fairways, clubhouse, parking, driving range and other related facilities will be indicated in a representative size and scale. We will then design the details of your golf course and prepare detailed plans and specifications for the construction of greens, tees, fairways, bunkers and irrigation systems. After we design your golf course and prepare detailed plans and specifications, FGS will assist you in selecting contractors, obtaining bids or negotiating work and awarding contracts. During construction, FGS will provide project observation to ensure proper progress of the project and compliance with the intent of the specifications and plans.

MASTER PLANS FOR EXISTING GOLF COURSES

FGS will visit your existing golf course, conduct a survey of your membership, meet with appropriate committees and discuss the potential physical improvements that would enhance your golf course or golf club. FGS will prepare an overall strategic plan to achieve your desired objectives. The plan can include a golf course site plan indicating any proposed changes, a written analysis and report detailing the proposed changes and the reasons for the changes. Detailed cost estimates for the proposed physical improvements will be prepared and presented with recommendations for the most prudent courses of action.
